Interview with Christian Rolle, Senior Ruby Developer at evopark

Christian Rolle, Senior Ruby Developer at evopark

Christian Rolle has been with evopark for almost four years and is therefore one of our longest-serving colleagues. No matter how stressful it gets, Christian always finds the right slogan and inspires everyone with his good mood. Learn more about our IT colleague from Schwerin here.

When did you join evopark?

I have been with evopark since July 1, 2016. As Senior Ruby Developer I support the IT team.

How do you explain to your friends in simple words what evopark stands for?

We add magic to parking. Or slightly simpler: we digitize parking. The barrier opens automatically and the payment is also digital. On the other hand, we enable car park operators to digitally manage their customers. If you want to know more, you should bring some time. 🙂

What is special about evopark for you?

The spirit. The energy. I have already experienced several companies and I must say that evopark achieves quite a lot with only a few people.

What are your specific tasks?

First and foremost, of course, I am responsible for software engineering, the development of products. But also mentoring. So, to share my experiences from more than 15 years of practice in the software industry with younger colleagues.

What do you particularly like about your work?

I love breathing life into an idea. In other words, to create something that makes life easier for other people. And this works very well with software and in many areas of daily life. I think I actually look at processes a little differently, at what people do and how. For me, the question is always how to optimize this or that process. I think it is important to leave a positive footprint. At the moment, it’s simply to improve the parking experience.

Where do you think evopark will be in 5 years?

I think evopark has the best chance to bring even more dynamics to parking. We have a couple more interesting ideas in the pipeline, some of which we have already started to implement.

What are your hobbies?

I like handicrafts, for example restoring old furniture. Listening to some music. Or jogging. But above all I love my family.

Thank you for the interview!

You are welcome!
